Youth Lacrosse Spring 2020 Information



Waukesha Lacrosse Club is comprised of players attending the School District of Waukesha or living in the district. The youth program 1st – 8th grades is a feeder program for the high school program. Teams are broken down by grade level and gender: U8 (1st/2nd) co-ed; U10 (3rd/4th), U12 (5th/6th) and U14 (7th/8th). Our organization competes in the Milwaukee Area Youth Lacrosse Association (MAYLA).

 WLC mission is:

The primary goal of the Waukesha Lacrosse Club is to develop a positive environment where athletes are able to learn and develop skills needed to play competitive lacrosse. Emphasis will be placed on showing respect for individuals, teams, coaches, officials and serving as positive role models within our school and community. Players will develop self-confidence, good sportsmanship, and a passion for the sport of lacrosse that will carry them through their lives.

Pre-Season: January & February at Stiks on Wednesday’s for 7 weeks. (approx. $75) OPTIONAL

Regular Season: March – 1st weekend in June 

Practice: 2 per week starts indoors and moves to outdoors as weather permits:

U8/U10 Monday/Wednesday  U12/U14 Tuesday/Thursday

Games: 1 Saturday & 1 Sunday (04/04, 04/05, no games Easter weekend, 04/18, 04/19, 04/25, 04/26, 05/02, 05/03, 05/09, 05/16, 05/17, 05/30, 05/31, 06/06 & 06/07). 

Tournaments: 1 or 2 tournaments potential same as game day dates or other dates such as Mother’s Day Weekend or Memorial Weekend.

Youth Night: Boys and Girls youth teams attend 1 high school game for Youth Night

Marquette University Game: Boys and Girls youth teams have a chance to see 1 college level game at reduced rates during Waukesha Lacrosse Club day. OPTIONAL

High School Games: HS games are free and youth players are encouraged to attend when they can. OPTIONAL


The club is run completely by volunteers and we encourage parents to get involved as much as possible. All families are required to volunteer up to 10 credits per seasons. Many of the families earn their credits during normal game days, however critical volunteer positions noted with the * below meet all required credits for the season.

*Board of Directors: 9 positions, 2-year term, meet 1 per month 

*Team Managers: 1 team manager per team 

*Coaching: Head Coach or Assistant Coach

*Uniform Manager: 1 youth boys & 1 youth girls

*Equipment Manager: 1 youth boys & 1 youth girls

Game Day Volunteering: Culture Keeper, Field Clock, Field Set-Up / Clean-Up, Scorebook, Spotter, Stats

Miscellaneous: Youth Night, Picture Night, Youth Banquets, Tournaments, etc.
